Hugh Marx, the father and grandfather of the current owners of Piedmont National Corporation, left Europe to look for a better life after being forced to leave Germany in 1938. In 1948, Mr. Marx moved to Atlanta, Georgia and became a sales manager for a prominent paper company. In 1950 he launched Piedmont National from his home with his wife's help. The formula was simple – provide quality products, prompt delivery and first-class service.
Building a legacy, the Marx children and grandchildren commenced to expand Piedmont National and now, seven decades later, the third-generation management still maintains strong family ties. Today Piedmont National provides customized packaging solutions to a nationwide client base from ten locations in the Southeast.
By fostering and maintaining a “Customer 1st" discipline, Piedmont National takes great pride in being an accessible, family-run business with an unequalled record for customer retention and personalized service. Thorough processes and industry experience are paramount to the standing reputation for excellence. With a collective 300+ years of experience, management continues to put quality first and provide sincere commitment to customer support and service.
Piedmont National is proud of it's 4A1 D&B rating, a runner up award for Georgia Family Business of the Year and it's place as one of Atlanta's top 100 private companies. The company is 100% debt free and has the financial flexibility to offer creative leasing and payment solutions almost instantaneously. The ability to act quickly and responsively separates Piedmont from its competitors, which is important in today's fast paced business world.
